Campers - 2008 Canteen Guidelines
Our canteen is stocked with an assortment of drinks, snacks and shirts. We generally open the canteen each afternoon around 3:00 and each evening around 8:00. Campers can buy two (2) snack items during each canteen time. Some campers prefer to keep their snack money with them. Campers must be careful with money, keeping it safely hidden. We often have campers who have not learned that stealing is wrong. A deterrent to this is to put canteen money and mission money "on account." We allow parents and campers to prepay for snacks at registration time. Campers who choose this option can order their snacks at canteen time, give their name to the Canteen worker, and the worker will deduct the amount of the snacks from the camper's balance. At the end of the week, we will refund any unused money to the camper, who can then give all or part of the refund to the missionary of the week or take it home to the parents. The prices listed to the right are to be used as a guideline and may change depending on the cost of purchasing snacks and drinks at the time of camp. As an estimate, during a typical Junior High week the camper could visit the canteen 10 times. If the camper spent $1.50 per visit, he/she would need $15.00 for canteen for the week.Canteen Prices
